The library offers these databases to patrons using our public computers and wifi. In addition, FPLD cardholders can use these at home by entering their 14 digit card number when prompted.

Academic Search Premier
Multi-disciplinary database providing full text for more than 4,600 journals.

Genealogical collection of more than 4,000 databases and 1.5 billion names.
-Only available for use inside the library.

Chilton Library
Find diagrams for troubleshooting, repair instructions, and recall notices for specific vehicles. Also has ASE test prep resources.

Consumer Reports
Get expert, unbiased advice and reviews on consumer products. Get information on 3,000 electronics, appliances, home & garden, baby gear, and food products including over 80 cars, trucks, SUVs and minivans each year. Find out which products are the best buys and the worst performers.

Frankfort Area Obituary Index
An index maintained by the Library and the Frankfort Area Historical Society. Data entry began in June of 2013. The index is anticipated to hold approximately 7,000 obituaries from various earlier newspaper publications from the surrounding area.

Frankfort News Editions Online 1973 - 1996
The Frankfort News, a community paper, published monthly by volunteers, was delivered to every address in the Frankfort area free of charge from 1973-1996. All 276 issues, 3300 pages total, of community news and information have been digitally reproduced and are available online for convenient viewing.

Kids Infobits
A great resource to help kids learn how to research. Includes more than 100 age-appropriate magazines, 6,400 searchable images, Merriam-Webster®’s Elementary Dictionary and 1,200 maps, flags & seals and over 1,700 colorful charts and graphs. It features a developmentally appropriate and visual graphic interface. Broad subject categories include animals, arts & entertainment, geography, health, history & social studies, inventions & technology, plants, people, science & math, sports, stories & literature, and transportation.

Novelist K-8 Plus
Designed especially for elementary and middle school students, this online database has fiction and nonfiction titles chosen specifically to support the school curriculum as well as the pleasure reading needs of students.

Reference USA
Find industry and residential information for 14 million U.S. businesses and 205 million residents. Contains verified data and is updated monthly.
